container ku

I enjoyed a blog called One Deep Breath, where Susan and Jennifer offer weekly haiku writing prompts.
The Dec. 10 topic is containers:

box of chocolates --
the spaces that held
the cherries

Christmas card --
the morning sun warms
my mailbox

autumn drizzle...
the nurse hands me
his suitcase

They are all nice, but I love that candy box haiku.

Wow, all three excellent. Like your previous commentor I find the first to be stunning in its simplicity and elegance: saying a lot with a little. Yum.

IMHO, the third is very impactful. It engages me as reader in a few possible scenes, all of which are very touching.

Lovely, beautifully formed haiku. I think given the time of year, the second is my favourite.
